Do I see lavender trousers?
The flap pocket OCBD. Does it have a pencil slot like uniform shirts do? Assuming the answer is no, do you think a seamstress could cut one at a reasonable price? Maybe RP could make arrangements for making that a standard feature?
Yes indeed, there does appear to be one fellow wearing lavender trousers. You certainly don’t see that every day.
J. Press OCBDs do not have a pencil holder, but they do have a button, which makes them great for business cards, event tickets, etc.
Have you been to the Belmont Stakes? A similarly elegant preppy event. The energy at the horse races is something special. I go with friends almost every year and it’s always amusing. I’ve also been to polo matches at Greenwich polo club. The drinks and dancing after the game were quite enjoyable. Hopefully, will go to the Harriman Cup next year for the first time.
I have not been to the Belmont Stakes, but would love to experience it some time. Greenwich Polo is terrific. Last year we had the Harriman Cup on Saturday and Greenwich Polo on Sunday. It was a fun weekend.
The club tie is very tasteful. Well done.
Samuel, I agree with you completely on the club tie. Hoping to pick one up at the event on Saturday.
You must start at the Derby. There is a dress code and you all would fit right in! Go to all of the Triple Crown races. It is a once in a lifetime event , repeated annually.
Hey?
Where do I sign up for your newsletters and blog posts?
I am a graduate of a Woman’s College. Preppy , crisply pressed ocbd classics, and plaid jods. Ah! The good ole days.
Speaking of ~ Can you all expand your blogs to include us, please?
Shelly, absolutely! We want to include more about women on Ivy Style. Would you like to submit an article? Please email me at matthew.longcore@yale.edu.
