If you check out his Filmography on imdb.com and add in his other work on radio, TV, theatre and all the rest, I can think of no other who did as much.

Further proof that “youth is wasted on the young”. Why must we all age so poorly?

  3. “Laura” was made in 1944, maybe ten years after this photo, and he looked completely different, to me anyway.

  4. My great uncle passed away last July. At his funeral lunch, we were surprised to see a framed photo of him next to the aged Vincent Price, complete with pencil mustache and a slightly villainous tuxedo. As great as that photo was, Price looks quite dashing in his earlier Ivy stage as well.

  5. Please forgive a totally off-topic comment, but I just received a depressing email this morning from Duck Head customer service responding to an inquiry I made to their website, and confirming that, while all kinds of sourcing and manufacturing options are being explored, the current product is being made in China.

  6. Paul, as this comment thread is tangentially related to the genre of horror, I don’t think your revelation is off-topic in the least.

I was at a Dodger game in the 1960’s and Vincent and his wife Mary and the Cleveland Amories (sic) were there and Vincent was wearing a tan suit with a lovely bow tie
I never forget that and have alway, but always dress up when out. Either to the opera or theatre or ballgame
What a class act he was
