The Cambridge and Andover locations of The Andover Shop are looking for seasoned full and part-time sales associates. This is a unique opportunity to work for one of America’s oldest and most distinguished haberdashers. With 70 years of history behind it, The Andover Shop has served as a steward of classic American style for generations. Successful candidates should have a passion for menswear and able to perform the following duties:
- Made-to-measure: selling garments from a swatch book and identifying proper fit/measurements.
- Off-the-rack: assembling outfits for customers that match their taste and needs.
- Professional demeanor and customer-service oriented.
While candidates with an easy commute to the Cambridge/Boston metro and Andover areas are preferred, we are willing to do initial interviews with relocation candidates via phone or FaceTime. To submit your candidacy, please contact Mark Mscisz at (508) 922-8536 or email mscisz@mscisz.com.
Damn! If I lived in the US I’d go for that in a heartbeat!
Yet again, I say: If I wasn’t in school…..
One year left (and I live in Boston!), so close…
So sad to see a legendary Boston-area haberdashery struggling to fill positions.
The retail Apocalypse is upon us.
I wish the shop all the best of luck in filling the position.

It is great to hear that the Andover Shop is staying in business.
In San Francisco the Hound, sometime purveyor of traditional
clothing, failed to find a buyer after its’ owner decided to retire.
Unfortunately, this is the more common outcome for independent
men’s clothiers.
Looking forward to more good news from/about The Andover Shop.
CC,
When do we get to see the video of the evening with Boyer&Press?
I’ve requested it twice and as far as I know the footage is being processed.
CC,
That’s good to hear.
Thanks, as always, for your efforts on behalf of your readership.
Still looking forward to the video of the evening with Messrs. Boyer and Press.
If they opened a branch in the (other) Bay Area, say Palo Alto, I’d
work for them for minimum wage, and probably donate it.
Maybe one day in the distant future, a pristine copy of the video of the Boyer-Press evening will surface.
Photos, but no footage 🙁
