Iconic Princeton University Hockey Legend Hobey Baker's 1908 team photo with the St. Paul's Prep, New Hampshire, Rowing Club! Incredible, authentic one-of-a-kind item! Baker sits in the front row, first on the left. Crew or Rowing members are wearing jackets that have HBC or SPC on their breast pockets. Members were split into the 'Halcyon Boat Club' and the 'Shattuck Boat Club'. Dubbed in his day, the 'blonde Adonis of the gridiron' by Philadelphia sportswriters, Baker is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and the American HHOF as well as the College Football Hall of Fame! F. Scott Fitzgerald idolized him and based a character in 'This Side of Paradise' on Baker. Each year the best collegiate hockey player is awarded the Hobey Baker Award. Hobey Baker died tragically in 1918 in France when a plane he was test piloting during WWI crashed. This is not a copy but an authentic photo from that year! In near-mint condition!
