Ivy-Style.com Acquired by Fortified Enterprises LLC & John Burton

John Burton, CEO Fortified Enterprises, Publisher, Ivy-Style.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 15, 2021 — Bedford, NY — Fortified Enterprises, LLC announced today that it has partnered with John Burton and acquired the website Ivy-Style.com and its related  intellectual property.   Burton has been named CEO of both Fortified Enterprises and Ivy Style.

“The Ivy-Style website is the foremost interactive digital community focused on Ivy Style,” Burton said today.  “The site was already in the leadership position and our numbers have steadily increased over the last two months since we assumed editorial control, and now we are going to be able to maximize this rare space on the internet that combines a traditional aesthetic with a curated civility and an unparalleled level of connection with our community.”

”I have focused on the values that prop up Ivy Style – dignity, respect for thought, the pursuit of excellence, and an appreciation for all things classical,” Burton continued.  “We have insisted on inclusion and civility.  As our group here and on Facebook has bonded and expanded, we have become stewards and students, curators and friends.  These communities are a singular opportunity for advertisers and sponsors because we are not simply content providers or even content creators, we use great content as the basis of community, so that our readers come to the site not just to read what we have written, but to be amongst each other – which is a much more powerful force of attraction than just an editorial resource.  And we make each other laugh, all the time.  Which is a profoundly valuable asset.”

Burton is also the administrator of the Ivy Style Facebook group, the largest and most interactive group in the category.   For the last two years Burton has geometrically expanded the group while, with his moderators, organized and presented the most vetted and desirable population in the niche.

“Our plans are extensive,” Burton concluded.  “The site has always been capable of so much more than being just the premier men’s fashion blog.  Yes, it is a historical internet landmark, but it is also a place where we can uplift each other, and dress, eat, drink, read, exercise, and walk our dogs better while we do it.”

John Burton’s work is rooted in the tagline of his website:  The Classics Are For Everyone.  As CEO of Fortified Enterprises and Publisher of The Burton Group Of Online Communities, John Burton brings a new voice to a traditional aesthetic.  As “the preeminent digital Ivy influencer” Burton has successfully maintained the traditional Ivy coterie while explosively broadening the community.   In two years Burton has grown the Ivy Style Facebook Group into the largest, most interactive digital community of it’s kind.  Ivy-Style.com is the anchor of The Burton Group Of Online Communities, soon to be joined by Prep-Style.com.

John Burton lives in Bedford NY, and is a touring singer/songwriter during summers and vacations.  His blogs have been read and praised by hundreds of thousands, combining a sense of humor with a mandate of inclusivity.  Burton insists on maintaining the Ivy aesthetic in the strictest sense while encouraging self expression.   Burton is also well known for his work in the advocacy of understanding and appreciation of all aspects of  mental health, and his former career in corporate turnaround.

John, best to you and the future of the site. With most media being inundated directly and indirectly by all things politically related, Ivy Style has been a great relief. Not an escape – not a fantasy – but a place to appreciate and possibly emulate what may be seen as classic individual decorum.

  9. Bravo, John. Much to look forward to, eh!

  10. Bravo, John. Much to look forward to, eh?

  11. “civility”, “decorum”…
Can you imagine these words occurring in the comments section of any other blog?

    A breath of fresh air!

  12. I was a relative latecomer to I-S.com. It was well into its full stride when I found it, and I found it by doing an image search- you know it when you see it. Therefore, an early New Year’s toast: Here’s to many more years of good style and good taste, saving American civilization one natural-shoulder, 3/2 sack-suit at a time.

  13. Looks like the beginning of an empire built on button-downs! What’s Prep-Style?
