  1. Must have more details about this encounter and unique photo. The Hilton jacket looks great. One of the only “live” shots I’ve seen of one online

  2. Who dat man?

  3. I have to say, this picture is terrifying.

Flusser : “Hold on, let me check. No, I’m afraid he’s been dead for years”.

  6. Flusser: “You’ve got to get rid of this prole gape.”

  7. Flusser: “No, that’s fused, sorry”

I love that sportscoat!! Im looking for the right olive colored sportscoat.

  9. Whatever he offers; refuse at your own risk…

  10. That’s actually a pretty good picture of you, CC. Seriously. As an action shot, anyway.

Though that other guy dresses like a hobo, albeit a wealthy one (click Striped Regimental’s link above (picture from A Suitable Wardrobe) for further evidence).

    @Henry

You really hit the nail on the head with that “hobo” description.

  12. Now thats the real you, unlike when you were posing in that ridiculous patchwork tweed cap with a pipe…

  13. Sez Godfather Al: “Chris…..I’m gonna make you an offer you can’t refuse ! “

  14. @chenlong

The infamous photo to which you refer was indeed affected. I’ve since replaced that floppy patchwork cap with a less floppy patchwork cap, and you’ll find me smoking my pipe every day as I stroll the streets of Midtown Manhattan.

Please don’t let either of these things affect your enjoyment of the site. “L’homme est rien, l’oeuvre est tout.” — Flaubert

  15. I do enjoy your writing and insights, please don’t take my words wrong. The pipe is alright in its own right, but when it is combined with your cap it adds up the unnaturalness, that’s all.

  16. Christian looks pluperfect in his Yale, 1955 wardrobe about to be “tapped” and asked to go back to his room to receive Scroll and Key.

  17. please don’t do that “on me..on him” listing thing about what you’re wearing, including some pocket square we cant see.. its creepy and very wasp101

  18. That is a great look. I love the jacket. Well done.

  19. “Leave the gun, take the cannoli”

  20. A lot of taste – all bad.

  21. If only Alan knew how to dress anymore. Alan looked great in the photos on his books. Maybe he’s going blind?
