R. Hanauer’s Eyeglass Case + Pocket Square

We’ll wrap up our trio of pocket square-themed posts with an update on this little piece of menswear esoterica from five years ago.

While covering the trade shows in New York and meeting up with longtime Ivy Style sponsor R. Hanauer, I spied these clever eyeglass cases that perform the function of a pocket square without actually being one.

Below is the one I stuck into my pocket that day:

At the time the cases weren’t up on Hanauer’s website yet. But five years later it looks like they were a hit, and you — as in you guys on the fence about pocket squares — can find them right here. — CC

    Very imaginative!

I can certainly vouch for the quality of R. Hanauer bow ties, and assume that these will be similarly well made. I also note that, whatever one thinks of the cases, the pinned club collar, tie, and sport coat look great.

  3. Fantastic.

I’ll take one in a Gordon tartan and another in a Black Watch.

I think its another cleaver and, yes, charming addition to our male accessories.

I’ve never been able to wear pocket squares because I use my breast pocket for eyeglasses.
Now, I’ll be able to do both.

    Thank you, R. Hanauer.
    Thank you, CC

  6. Love the case

  7. My wife bought one of these for me as a gift a few years ago. I use it more than I ever imagined I would. They’re incredibly helpful for anyone who has to carry around eyeglasses/sunglasses. Even if you don’t wear it in your breast pocket, they’re a nice alternative to the bland glasses cases which so often accompany the frames.
