Who’s this, pictured here in 1968, one year after the fall of the Ivy League Look? He’s in a state of transition, with mop top hairstyle and blue OCBD with flap pocket and rear collar button.

I’m stumped. Any clues?
Looks like Tom Petty
My first thought was Al Jardine from the Beach Boys.
Might it be Dennis Hopper
Dennis Hopper
Jon Bon Jovi
Is that Roger Mcguinn?
That’s not Fonda is it?
John Denver?
David Bowie.
The first name that popped into my head was Dean Stockwell. But I don’t think that’s him
My vote is Tom Petty.
And isn’t that a Jackalope mounted on the wall behind him?
Reminds me of the Eugene McCarthy campaign staffers who were invariably garbed
in the Ivy uniform but often sported long hair, sideburns and facial hair. The “foot
soldiers” who handed out leaflets, etc were mainly recruited from the colleges and
appeared as hippies. In reaction, the campaign initiated the ” Clean for Gene” campaign
to clean- up the McCarthy youthful supporters to make them more acceptable to the
typical voter who recoiled at the “excesses” of the counter culture.

Well done all of you who recognized Johnny Depp from the movie “Blow.” I had to hold your comments so we could enjoy the guessing.
Kind of a trick question. That is Johnny Depp playing George Jung in the movie “Blow”, circa 1968. My brother figured it out. I kept thinking along the lines of musicians instead of actors.
The year I graduated from high school. A bad look then, a bad look now.
Kind of a toss up between the hair and the sunglasses as to which is worst, although I believe the sunglasses prevail.
My high school English teacher just reminded me: should have been worse, not worst.
Bon Jovi
Heino?
Johnny Depp, in Blow?
Anna Wintour?
“Transitioning” – Bruce Jenner?
“Blow” was released in 2001 so the 1968 dateline was misleading.
It’s Johnny Depp from the movie Blow.
